Recipe Ingredients
2 cups water
1 cup unsalted chicken stock
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1/2 tsp salt, divided
1 cup yellow corn grits (I use Bob's Red Mill)
4 tbsp unsalted butter, divided
1/2 cup extra sharp cheddar cheese
1 1/4 lbs large 16-20 count shrimp, peeled and deveined (You'll want 5-6 large shrimp per person)
1 tsp olive oil
1/2 cup chopped andouille sausage
2 large garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup Frank's red hot sauce
1/4 cup unsalted chicken stock
1/4 cup sliced green onion, plus more for garnish
