Fried Avocado Sandwiches with Bacon and Homemade Lemon Aioli
It’s one of those things that has been floating around the blogosphere for a while now – I’ve been seeing pictures of avocado “fries” everywhere from pinterest to foodgakwer. And while I think the idea is inventive and sounds good in theory, I wasn’t confident I could eat more than a couple in one setting.
Recipe Ingredients
Blackberry Barbecue Sauce
4 ounces blackberries
¼ cup blackberry jam
½ cup ketchup
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
¼ small onion, diced
3 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
¼ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon canola oil1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
¼ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon molasses
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Red pepper flake
Pulled Pork
1 3-4 pound pork butt
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 small onion, sliced thinly
⅛ cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
¾ cup chicken stock
